Skydiving is a thrilling sport for any person who loves an adrenaline rush. The sport entails jumping from a plane high in the sky and falling with a parachute. Locate a drop zone
As a first step, it is important for one to be able to locate a drop zone. These are areas that are designated as landing points for skydiving activity. It is essential to locate one so as to contact then and schedule a skydive. You can do an internet search and find parachuting associations to find a drop zone. One can also talk to family or friends who have been involved in this sport and request for favorite skydiving dropzone and contacts of where they did it. Gather the information so as to talk and contact them.
Contact the drop zone
One needs to call the drop zone. This is to be able to know about the hours for the skydive and to schedule the time to do the activity. The call will also give you a chance to ask questions that may be of concern to you. It is important to ask the type of jump that is offered so that one can choose from. Three jump methods can be offered, that is the tandem jump, accelerated free fall level one jump and static line jump.
The tandem jump is the most popular jump. Here one is harnessed to their instructor who has a parachute on, that is big for accommodating the two of you as you jump out of the plane. The instructor is in charge of handling the skydive and required training. For the accelerated free fall level one jump one receives training for about 5 to 6 hours, which eventually leads one to taking the jump strapped in their parachute. Lastly, is the static line jump which involves the same kind of training like the free fall, the difference is that the parachute is released upon the jump.
